Colombian Amber with multiple insect inclusions set in Madrone Burl hand foraged from the mouth of the Elwha River, Port Angeles, WA.

What better pair to wood than ancient petrified sap. The source from which the nectar once came. It only makes sense that these two magnificent would find there way back to each other. If you look closely at the bottom of the Amber you can see what looks like a nat or flea.

This rich multi-toned burl still smells of the salty waters where the ocean meets the river and get its beautiful hues from all of the minerals it soaked up over the decades quite possibly centuries.
